Balzer and Associates, Inc. was approached by a client to bring to life the three dimensional renderings of their dream home. Balzer and Associates, Inc. worked hand in hand with the clients to coordinate the building systems, add the required structure and to specify appropriate materials for the 7,500 square foot, $2.7 million residence.
The three-story home employs many novel building techniques, materials and systems including zinc cladding, an ipe rainscreen, exposed concrete walls, a fully integrated home automation system, spray foam insulation, and four geothermal heat pumps.
Intensive collaboration between Balzer and Associates, Inc., the General Contractor, and tradesmen was required throughout the design and construction phases to achieve the level of detail required by the owner.
