Balzer's civil engineering, surveying, geotechnical engineering and structural engineering departments teamed up to work on this subdivision project at McCauley Park in King William County, VA. Our civil engineering staff is handling the design of the residential roadway and utilities, and the design of the arch structure spanning an existing creek. The geotechnical engineering department performed soil borings for the arch structure and developed criteria for a driven concrete pile support system. The structural and geotechnical engineering departments worked together to design the grade beam footing for the arch structure.
