Atkins Residence

Balzer and Associates was commissioned to design this vacation home for the Atkins. The home was to consist of spacious open living areas, individual office spaces, bedrooms for the couple and their children, as well as play space for the children. The site is located midway up a wooded hillside in Madison County, Virginia. The residence was to be aesthetically pleasing from all sides, and with an almost 180 degree vista of breathtaking woods and mountains, it was a must that the view be captured from practically every window.
