Tommy has been with Balzer and Associates, Inc. for 25 years and currently manages our Civil Engineering Department in Richmond. He oversees the design team for subdivision projects including master planning, zoning and construction plans. Tommy regularly provides professional representation for our clients at Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors meetings.
He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia and North Carolina. His outgoing personality and his intense commitment to his community are evident through his active roles with the Home Builders Association of Richmond, the Powhatan County Economic Development Action Program and the Powhatan YMCA.
Andy became a licensed Landscape Architect in Virginia in 1985 and joined Balzer and Associates, Inc. in 1988. He currently oversees our Richmond office. Andy graduated with honors from Virginia Tech in 1982 with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and has continued to remain active in the academic arena by participating on the Virginia Tech Alumni Advisory Committee for the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.
Andy’s commitment to his profession includes membership in the American Society of Landscape Architecture. He is active in his community playing key roles on the Powhatan County Architectural Review Board, various Chesterfield County advisory committees, and on the Bon Air Elementary School PTA Board.
