Ground-breaking for St. James Baptist Church

A ground-breaking ceremony was recently held for the reconstruction of St. James Baptist Church in Powhatan, VA.  Developed by Balzer and Associates, Inc. the construction project will have about 3,000 square feet of usable space at the same location where the old building stood.  The project is scheduled to be complete in September.

Persinger Elected Chairman of Alleghany Co. School Board

Todd Persinger, a Vice President of Balzer and Associates, Inc., will serve as the new Chairman of Alleghany County’s School Board.  Mr. Persinger was elected by a 4-3 vote during the Board’s reorganizational meeting held on Monday, July 9, 2012.  Todd has served on the School Board since July 2010.
